Villages In Partnership, believes that we can empower people to raise themselves from extreme poverty by coming alongside them as partners to share each other’s burdens, resources and solutions. Villages In Partnership distributes goats, chickens, rabbits, fish, cows and pigs to the vulnerably poor farmers who demonstrate initiative and hard work as a food security strategy. For many poor families in the village, raising livestock helps them overcome poverty by improving their nutrition and household income.
What The Vet Team Needs & What You Get
Join our village to save a village! Villages in Partnership challenges family, friends, colleagues and staff to join the vet team by supporting them financially as well as with prayers, emotional support and encouragement. Purchase any item, large or small, from a bag of grain to bee hives! Our goal is to raise $45,000 by the end of 2012. Using the IndieGoGo fundraising platform, 100% of what is collected will go directly to benefit the village farmers in the 20 villages where VIP works.
We are committed to a world in which communities from across the globe work together to transform lives. Therefore, VIP is excited to partner with this group of veterinarians as they come to the villages of Malawi to sit, listen and exchange ideas with the village farmers and offer education, new initiatives and training concerning livestock, honey bees and fish farming. This will be an ongoing relationship; together we plan to visit and offer follow-up support in the years ahead.
