Villages in Partnership provides an effective and efficient vehicle to address the problem of extreme poverty in Malawi, Africa. We are a volunteer organization, and 100% of the financial support we receive from outside donors goes to Africa. Of the money we send to Africa, approximately 90% ends up directly in the villages of our partners, helping them to address the profound root causes of extreme poverty in which they live.
There are a myriad of ways in which you can join or support Villages in Partnership and the work we are doing. We are always looking for new people to lend a hand and new ways to expand and improve what we do. The following are just a few of the ways you can get involved.
Join a Friendship Trip:
Villages in Partnership, believes there is no more profound way to get involved than to go to Malawi, to meet with our friends in person, break bread with them, and share each other’s blessings and burdens. One of our core principles is that we are not distant benefactors sending hand-outs from afar, but are true partners who care about and seek community with our friends in Malawi. It is only by being there in person that we can foster those bonds. That is why we are committed to sending people on friendship trips to Malawi. More than just a traditional mission trip, during these friendship trips you will get to know our friends and understand their circumstances, as you work alongside them to further the important work we’re doing there. If you go, you will be blessed and return a changed person.
